Test your cognitive abilities with this diverse collection of games and keep track of your scores for comparison with friends to determine who truly possesses superior mental skills!
- Chimp Test: Can you, as a human, outperform a chimp in recalling number sequences?
- Typing Speed Game: How many words per minute can you type?
- Aim Trainer Game: How swiftly can you hit 30 targets?
- Reaction Time Test: How quickly can you respond to a color change?
- Sequence Memory Game: What length of a sequence of button presses can you memorize?
- Number Memory Test: What length of a number can you recollect?
- Verbal Memory Game: How many words can you retain?
These cognitive benchmark games are intended for entertainment purposes and should not be equated with actual intelligence. The primary aim is to have fun while honing your cognitive abilities!
Inspired by the Human Benchmark tests, this collection is tailored specifically for mobile phone screens. The Visual Memory Test was the only one that could not be adapted due to the demanding precision at higher levels which is not feasible on phones.
Fun Facts:
- The chimp test is grounded in a legitimate study where researchers trained chimpanzees to order buttons correctly by rewarding them with treats. Surprisingly, the chimps consistently outperformed humans by accurately recalling 9-digit sequences over 90% of the time, and at a considerably faster pace!
- Precision in measuring reaction speed can be quite challenging as it heavily relies on the equipment used, including the colors employed which affect our response time. For the most precise reaction time assessment, try using a wired mouse and computer!
- The average human can normally retain around 7 numbers at once, but there exist numerous mnemonic techniques that can significantly enhance this capacity.
- The brain is the sole unfinished organ at birth, and research suggests that brain size bears no correlation with intelligence. Bigger brains are not inherently smarter, nor are smaller ones less intelligent!
- The average typing speed on mobile phones registers at 38 words per minute, slightly below the average typing speed of 40 words per minute on computers.
